Reading was celebrated under the auspices of MG College Central Library on 19.6.2024 at 11.00 am. Iritty Taluk Library Council Secretary Mr. Ranjith Kamal was the chief guest at the function. Reading Day celebration was inaugurated by Iritty Municipal Councilor Mrs. Sreelatha K. Mrs. Sandhya C V, Dr. Rehin. K R, Dr. Linsha M spoke at the function.
Basheer commomeration day was organized under the auspices of MG College Central Library on 5.7.24. The memorial meeting was inaugurated by the college principal Dr. Swarupa R. MG College English Department Head Mr. Pramod K V, MG College Computer Science Department Teacher Prof. Jitesh K, Commerce Department Teacher Smt. Geetha C delivered the keynote address. Smt. Sandhya Kavi and Dr. Linsha M spoke at the memorial meeting. A documentary titled 'Basheer the Man' was screened. The Best Reader Award was distributed on the occasion. M.Com student Anugritha P. was selected as the Annual Best Reader.
Independence day quiz was organized by mg college central library on 14.8.2024 at 1.00pm . Devika Das P V( 1st Bsc. Maths) placed first position. Second position was secured by Anusree TV (2nd MSC Maths)
MG College Central Library in association with Gandhi Study Circle has conducted a speech competition on the topic ‘Gandhiyan Aaashayangalude Prasakthi’ on 17/10/24@3.30pm. Jwala M jose (ll MSc Mathematics) & Sneha Mohandas (2nd Bcom) secured l & ll positions respectively.
M.T. Vasudevan Nair commemoration was organized under the auspices of MG College Central Library on 7.01.2025. The memorial meeting was inaugurated by the respected college principal, Dr. Swaroopa R. In the memorial meeting Mr. Pramod Kumar KV, (Head, Department of English, MG College & Kannur University Syndicate Member) and Mr. Prajil KV (Guest Lecturer, Malayalam Department, MG College) delivered the keynote address. Professor Jitesh K, Dr. Bijumon R, and Dr. Linsha M spoke in the meeting. Sneha Mohandas (second year commerce student) gave a formal vote of thanks for the memorial meeting.
